Dr. Yap

Dr. Yap is board-certified in gastroenterology, obesity medicine, and internal medicine. His clinical expertise spans a wide range of common and complex gastroenterology and hepatology conditions, including Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE), Barrett’s esophagus (BE), obesity, colon cancer prevention, management of polyps, infectious hepatitis (HAV, HBV, HCV) and steatotic liver disease (SLD). Dr. Yap specializes in advanced luminal endoscopic procedures such as complex polypectomies, endoscopic suturing, endoscopic luminal stent placements, endoscopic food allergy testing, ablations of lesions, and feeding tube placements.  
 
Dr. Yap has served as Assistant Professor of Medicine and Associate Program Director of GI Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. He is a passionate, collaborative, innovative, and soughtafter provider among his colleagues and patients. Dr. Yap is an active committee member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is also a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American Association of the Study of Liver Diseases, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
