Metrodora Institute Privacy Policy

Updated on October 31, 2022

Welcome to the Metrodora Institute’s (“Metrodora,” “we,” “our,” and “us”) Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy describes how your Personal Information is collected, used, and shared when you visit Metrodora.co (the “Site”) or send us communications, such as through email. We take your privacy seriously, and this page outlines how we collect, use, share, and protect your Personal Information.

Metrodora may have different privacy notices or policies that apply to certain specific situations, such as if you participate in a research study through Metrodora. If you were given a different privacy notice or policy, that notice or policy—not this Privacy Policy—will apply to that specific situation. Metrodora may work with partners or platforms that also handle your data, and you can review those data policies as outlined below.

“Personal Information” is any information that can be used to identify you or that can be linked directly to you (or your household, under some privacy laws). Under some privacy laws, Personal Information can also include information that indirectly identifies you. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Personal Information includes “Personal Data” as that term is defined under applicable locations’ privacy laws.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time and encourage you to review it whenever you access the Site or otherwise interact with us to stay informed about our privacy practices. The practices described in this Privacy Policy are subject to applicable laws in the United States only.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information from and about your device, including data about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and the cookies installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages viewed, the websites or search terms that directed you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

– “Cookies,” “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” (collectively, “Cookies”) are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include a unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org. If you choose to decline Cookies, parts of the Site may be unavailable to you.
– “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

Please note that we do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.

Additionally when you fill out a form through the Site, such as inquiring to join our team, or send us communications, we collect certain information from you, including your name, email address, location, job title, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Contact Information.”

When we refer to “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we refer to both Device Information and Contact Information.
